Widex is one such hearing aid manufacturer, and they have recently announced the release of their Real-Life Insights feature to help provide greater customization for their hearing aids.

What Is Widex Real-Life Insights

Real-Life Insights is a new hearing aid feature developed by Widex to assist hearing aid wearers to have a more personalized listening experience. It does this by gathering information on your listening preferences.

For instance, say that you are in a restaurant that is a bit too loud, and your hearing aids are picking up on a lot of background noises. You can use the Widex smartphone app to do a simple A/B selection test. The Real-Life Insights feature will remember your preferences and see how often you need to adjust your hearing aids in restaurant environments.

SoundSense Learn

Along with the Real-Life Insights feature, it comes with the SoundSense Learn, which allows Widex hearing aids to learn in real-time what your hearing needs are. With this application, the Real-Life Insights feature is able to quickly identify which of the over 2,000,000 hearing setting configurations Widex has available will work for you.

Remote Hearing Health Care Assistance

Using the Compass GPS fitting platform, our hearing instrument specialists are able to access the hearing information that the Real-Life Insights feature has gathered without you needing to come into our hearing aid clinics. With this information, our specialists can provide remote hearing aid support, providing changes to your hearing aid programs, and checking for other issues.

Depending on what the issue is with your hearing aids, with the Real-Life Insights hearing aid feature, our hearing health care professionals may be able to take care of it completely remotely. Also, this data sharing isn’t automatic. You can opt-in or choose not to share your data with the Widex Cloud, but without data sharing, our hearing aid specialists will not be able to provide remote support.

Which Widex Hearing Aids Have Real-Life Insights Feature

At this time, only the Widex EVOKE hearing aids come with the Real-Life Insights feature built into the hearing aids. However, not even all the EVOKE hearing aid styles come with this new feature.

So, if you are interested in choosing Widex hearing aids with Real-Life Insights, you will need to choose either the Widex EVOKE BTE 13 D hearing aids or the Widex EVOKE RIC 312 D hearing aids. If you prefer smaller hearing aids, the RIC 312 D hearing aids are ideal. But if you struggle with severe hearing loss, you may need the more powerful BTE 13 D hearing aids.
